SHORT RIDE

Weekend, such as running out of activities, almost sleeping and being lazy. then some time ago i planned to take us to the tambak (a few miles from purwokerto) . Tambak is a district in Banyumas regency, Central Java, with the zip code 53196 and telephone area code (0287). Sub-district is in the east end of Banyumas, bordered by District Rowokele (Kebumen) in the east, south of the District's father, District Sumpiuh in the west, as well as the District Somagede north. The topography of the area is unique, consisting of plains that are often flooded in the south to the hills in the north. A country road divides this district, connects several towns in the southern part of Central Java. At the end of the sub-districts in the east, in 2007 Banyumas district government set up a memorial. MITONI

Many traditional Javanese customs or festivals such as meditation, slametan, naloni mitoni, patangpuluhdinanan, nyatus, nyewu have their roots in the Kejawen belief. Javanese beliefs (Kebatinan or Kejawen) are principles embodying a search for the inner self but at the core is the concept of the peace of mind, connection with the universe, and with an Almighty God. Although Kejawen is not strictly a religious affiliation, it addresses ethical and spiritual values as inspired by Javanese tradition. It is not a religion in usual sense of the word, like Islam, Judaism, or Christianity. There are no scriptures such as the Bible or the Qur'an, nor are there prophets.

Mitoni

is a Javanese prenatal ceremony held during the seventh month (tujuh bulan in Indonesia) of a woman's first pregnancy. The mother-to-be is wrapped in seven layers of batik and doused with water, to wish her good tidings. Food served in the occasion:

*Fruit rujak, if the rujak is sweet the baby is expected to be a girl; if it is spicy, the baby is expected to be a boy.

*Tumpeng,the tumpeng is made of white rice,encircled by six smaller tumpengs.The dish is served in tampah,which is made of bamboo wood and banana leaf.

Family members and friends gather for the occasion.

When a would-be mother is 7th month pregnant, carrying her first baby in her womb, a ritual ceremony called Mitoni is performed. (Mitoni is from the word pitu means seven). This traditional ceremony aims to request God’s blessings for the safety of the would be parents and the baby. Hopefully, the whole family shall live safely, happily and the child should bring a good life to the family. The child should have a noble life.

The whole ceremony consist of several steps of ritual, such as:

*Siraman (holy bathing)

*Dressing-up of the would be mother

*Angkreman : Eggs-hatching etc.

*Offering

*Siraman

The Siraman could take place either in the family bathroom or in a special place in the backyard of the house, specially designed for this purpose. "Siraman" is from the word "Siram" means to take a bath. This holy bathing (Siraman) ritual in Mitoni is meant to purify the would be parents and the baby. In a spacious green garden of a Javanese mansion, a special place has been beautifully arranged for a Mitoni’s Siraman Ceremony. A big golden bowl full with water and sritaman flowers, consist of rose, yasmin, magnolia and cananga is there. The water itself is holy water from seven springs.In a bright sunny morning, a melodious gamelan music is being played to commemorate a Mitoni ceremony in the house of the would be mother’s parent. Several ladies in colorful traditional Kebaya (shirts) and Batik cloths are participating to give their blessing.

Superweekend again, who knows what the wind in the second week in March, the same wind, the rain, no less heavy, hot sun, it might longing ?

As usual a super weekend begins on Saturday evening, with some complicated rituals and fun. As usual rain in the early evening, as usual, almost off! Oh but God gives opportunity, bright and we are shopping! Night i met some great men, plans to wear dresscode, batik! As an Indonesian identity and dignity .. we are all wear batik, handsome !!!

Sunday morning started shopping chicken, 2 pounds, and it was not enough, we bought another 2 pounds. Ehmmm, 2 chickens to be exact. The chicken affairs is depending roni and iink as our hero. Budi, lian, kate, Dudung, irfan, assist in the affairs of the herbs and chop chicken, fajar served as fire boy, mwahaha, the chef, they cook ginger chicken, not like his usual roni's food, spice up the devil taste with high saturation. I do not know this kinda feels less spicy, but overall really nice, upper division, Ucil feat dhany prepare jello shots yogurt grape, orange and manggo, in apples, oranges and lemons. Learning from failure, jello shots on the green orange taste bitter, though a nice color and shape, at mid-day, overcast!! :( nisa, gian, feby, ciplink mponks not come .. worried they delayed arrival, then rain, then canceled, And it turns out they come! Hooray, gian bring a friend, and this is the most festive superweekend, almost 20 people!!! And a couple of friends can not attend, because their bussiness. 

Then the women immediately prepare drinks, good day vanilla, oreo and cheese blend. Plan early, vanilla ice cream to smoothies, but failed, dont frozen for two hours. Eventually just blended into vanilla coffee, and cheese sown. Yumm ..

All menus ready, eating, joking, and the rain! We're all stuck here, at the place, time and a pleasant atmosphere. Thanks all, fun March 10, hopefully more pleasant our meeting tomorrow. And welcome to the month of March, in the first week, before we had planned on a super weekend! a long ago in the month of February, about visiting in the "Pasar Malem" ( night market , Pasar malam  | Sekaten ) today, this week. March 3, 2013.

Previously planned by me, kreisna, febi, nisa, gayuh, irfan, dudung, mponks, yahus and some other friends,yep friends who are not much changed the nature of his childish behaviour since first time i met this motherfucker. And the initial agreement, that the "Pasar Malem" is at 19.00 . It turned from overcast afternoon, perhaps envious of cumulus clouds to cover the sun most of the sky purwokerto. And, the patter of rain fell on purwokerto 18:00 from the northern tip to the south, west and east. Nisa & febi almost canceled the event, as did I, kreisna & yahus. tonight we just planned to went to dinner only.

19:00 Gayuh, Dudung, Mponks canceled the meeting. I do not know, maybe because of the rain, or busy, or confusion, muahaha. Then nisa and febi finally came in the studio, where the meeting point as planned earlier, Huah finally me, yahus, kreisna, nisa, febi depart from the studio to the Pasar Malem, yepppp irfan followed 10 minutes later. The first spacecraft, kora kora, only Rp.5000 to be able to ride those ride. we want shouted and scream aloud almost lost our voice, and this is our first time up the air, ride kora kora in there muahaha , and then further, to ride the "Ombak banyu", its still the same ticket, Rp. 5000 for a few rounds and dizziness dizzy hahaha .. the best part of the night is pure happiness , and we meet our old friend! good friends !!! they are  Kukuh sukmana, M iskandar, Angga Miga Pramono ( Asta ) with their friend, we ride the spacecraft together haha.
